Adding a new role for users with limited capabilities and noticed that after having the role assigned the user can no longer access the site frontend, only the backend in WP.
User gets a “site.com redirected you too many times.” message in Chrome and similar messages in other browsers. Clearing cache has no effect.
I created a test role and copied all permissions from the Administrator role and got the same results. Any previously created Role (over 50) works as expected, but any new role has this issue. It has been over a year before any new roles have been created. This is happening in both dev and production environments. I am on version 2.14.4.
Looking for any tips to resolve issue.
Hi Jack,
If you deactivate the User Role Editor plugin, do you still see the issue?
Can you try updating to the latest version?
Thanks,
Syam
