Hi. I’m new to wordpress so please forgive me if these issues seem simple.
I’m looking to have several parent pages that certain users can add, edit, delete sub pages (or child pages). However, I do not want them to make changes to other areas outside of parent pages they are assigned to.
From my quick test with new role creation (based off Editor role), then limit folks in the new role to particular pages via the extended page/post permission. They were limited to the editing what they have permission to. However, it seems that they can add new pages anywhere on the site. Is there a way to limit new page creation to within their allowed parent pages?
Also, it would be great if there is a way to have child pages automatically copy page permissions over from parent page.
thank you.
Hi Eddie,
If the user has publish_pages capability, then will be able to create new pages. This plugin do not limit pages based on their parent. That functionality seems a very good idea and I have added it to my to do list.
Inheriting permission is already in my to do list.
Thanks
Syam
