SpectatorHey there,
I have disabled some items on the Menu Editor for the “Author” role, but every time I save the changes they are still enabled?
How Do I remove menu items for the top bar navigation (+ NEW)?

KeymasterHi Nicholas,
Can you give me access to your site, so that I can see the issue?
Right now the only way to remove items from the top bar is by removing the capability. You can set the override type as hard, so that even if the item is available in top bar, that page won’t be accessible.
Thanks
Syam

ParticipantHi Syam,
I’m having the same problem as Nicholas. Every time I disable menu options and save, they are re-enabled.

KeymasterHi Nicholas,
Can you send me the theme/plugin you are using to create those menu items, so that I can debug it in my local box.
Thanks
Syam

ParticipantHi Syam,
What’s the status of resolving this? We recently purchased the Pro plugin because this was one of the features of the pro version. We need to know if we need to look for another plugin and initiate a refund request.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Betsy,
I have already sent you and Nicholas a fixed package to test on Saturday through email. Nick already responded saying the fix worked for him. I was waiting for your response, so that I can release this as a general fix for this issue. Let me know if you did not receive the package, so that I can send it again.
Or if you would rather have a refund, let me know.
Thanks
Syam

ParticipantHi Syam,
I responded to your last message via email. I’ve included the response below.

Here’s a link to the plugin on the WordPress repo.

We’re using the paid pro version. Let me know if you can’t duplicate the issue with the version that’s available on the repo.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Betsy,
I missed your email. I’ll test with the free version and let you know.
Thanks

KeymasterHi Betsy,
I tested with that plugin but everything seems to be working with free version. The menu that is not working for you, is it a pro version menu?
Thanks
Syam
