Hi Syam,
My client’s site has 100+ pages. There are 4 or 5 employees who all need access to a handful of pages in differing sections on the site.
Is there a way to give someone access to just one page, or even just a few pages without having to go to 100+ pages for each user, disabling their access to all but the page(s) they need access to?
The current functionality, where I enable page editing capabilities for a role and then selectively disable it is not ideal on a site like this. Besides taking a long time to setup, I’d have to remember to go remove access to any new pages which are created.
Thanks for any help.
Brian
It appears as if other similar plugins allow selective admin access to pages/posts by adding their IDs to user records: https://take.ms/73yR7
I think this is what I’m needing and am curious if it can be added to User Role Editor Pro?
Thanks!
Hi Brian,
With the current stable version, the only option is to ‘Bulk Edit’ the permissions against roles.
More options will be added starting from next version(3.0), but it is currently under beta.
Thanks
Syam
Thank you Syam.
I believe this feature will be an excellent addition to the plugin.
Best,
Brian
