I have set editing privileges for my users with the role “Deal Managers”. Giving them the ability to login and edit any custom post type “Deal” that they have submitted via our form. But when they’re logged in and click “Edit” on their Deal, they get an error “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

    Additional Info:
    – My custom post type capability is “post” (not sure if that makes a difference)
    – The users are generated when they fill out this form using gravity forms and their role is assigned to them automatically upon submission http://attractionsvictoria.com/be-a-tourist/be-a-tourist-2018-offer-form/
I have confirmed that all of these aspects are working
    – My site for reference: http://attractionsvictoria.com/be-a-tourist/deals/ each “Deal” is submitted by a different user, and they need to be able to return to update their info.

    Hi Jessica,

Can you copy and paste your edit URL here?

    Thanks

    Hi Jessica,

Sorry for the late response. I can still help you fix the issue, so that you don’t need that extra plugin. Until this issue is fixed you can keep it.

I still need the URL of the page where you see unauthorized message. Just go to the page where you see the “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” message and copy the URL from browser.

    Thanks

    Syam
