I am having a very strange issue with the Login Redirect feature… After I login as a user with a login redirected role, it takes me to the correct page and everything seems to be working fine unless I go back to my home page. For some reason my nav menu acts like I am logged out because it shows the login button that is only supposed to appear to logged-out users. If I hit refresh while on this page it seems to fix the problem for the remainder of the time I am logged in but next time I go to log in I have the same problem.

I don’t want my users to have to refresh the homepage every time they login in order for the site to work correctly. Do you know how to fix this or at-least what is causing the issue?

To see what I mean please go to bonkage.com and login as “guestclient” with password “Qwerty4Life”.

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Your home page is severed with the cache headers set asking the browser to cache it locally for a month. So every time your home page is requested, browser is serving the cached copy. When you do a refresh, it bypasses the cache, getting the new version from server.

Thanks for the clue, I was able to fix this by removing the following from my my .htaccess file…

    # Default directive
    ExpiresDefault “access plus 1 month”
