    Hi Syam,

I needed a role who can only view posts and perform all actions in Media section. For that I created a role named : Spreadsheet Creater and checked below setting for that role :

    Posts:
    – edit_posts

    Media :
    – upload_files
    – unfiltered_upload
    – edit_attachments
    – delete_attachments
    – read_others_attachments
    – edit_others_attachments
    – delete_others_attachments.

But the user with role Spreadsheet Creater, not able to see list of media files.

    Hi Rav,

Media capabilities works in conjunction with Posts capabilities. I’m not sure what all capabilities are required for your scenario. I’ll take a look and let you know.

    Thanks

    Hi Rav,

Try enabling all the capabilities under Posts. If that fixes your issue, then you can remove the Posts capabilities one by one until the required capabilities.

    Thanks

    Hi Rav,

My test shows that these are the minimum capabilities required to have all the permissions on Media.

    media capabilities

    Can you try with this?

    Thanks

    Hi Rav,

If its still not working, then it must be coming from a different place. Can you try with all plugins disabled?

    Thanks

    Syam
