Hello I just sent a private contact before I realised I had a login for the forum, I think this may be where I am supposed to do this?

I want the admin person to see default role permissions when they create a new custom post.
( so for downloads custom post type the role permissions should already be active and guests unchecked. )
Lots of room for error when the tasks are fiddly and repetitive? Have I missed something in the instructions, where this is already available.
    thanks!

    Hi Elaine,

I’m sorry, but I don’t think I understood your question.

    Thanks

    Hello
Sorry I will try to explain clearer.
In the footer of a post. The role permissions box is unchecked by default.
When the admin person creates a new post I would like the permissions box to be pre-checked and for example guests should not see this post type.
Most posts will need permissions in the same way.
    Only a few need altered.
    Does that make sense?
    thanks!

    Hi Elaine,

That makes sense. Default permissions and bulk updates are in my to do list. Its not available right now. Since I have so many stuffs in my list, I don’t have an ETA on it.

    Thanks

    Syam
