    Hi
    I have made subscriber the default signup role and removed literally all permissions however when I check back after a day I find that the permissions have changed and the role now has almost all the essential permissions such as editing othe posts and even pages.

    Why does it change on its own?

    Hi Eric,

    This must be coming from a different plugin. Is there any other plugin which works with role objects?

    Hi Eric,

    I don’t have any experience with most of these plugins. However they don’t sound like roles related. Sorry. I’m not sure where is it coming from.

    What you could do is, create a clone of your site, then test with deactivating plugins one by one and see if it fixes your issue.
