User Role "Author" can still add new categories - WPFront

Hi,

I would like to edit the user role “Author” in such a way, that he can select from post categories, but cannot add any. I’ve already unchecked “Manage categories” but that seems not to be working. Do you have any other idea how I can remove that capability from the role?

Wordpress version: 4.4
Plugin: WP User Role Editor PRO (purchased 01/16/2015

Hi Manfred,

My tests show that, removing manage_categories disables both Categories and Tags under Posts. So the user won’t be able to edit Categories but will be able to select them while creating posts.
