Visual composer don't work with User Role

Hello.

Thanks this great tool.
But I have a little problem … When I attribute User role to “editor”, Visual composer isn’t active !
He is only active with “administrator role”.

I try to activate visual composer for “editor” role but I don’t found how ?
Can you help me please ?

Hi Florent,

This could be because the editor role doesn’t have the required capabilities or Visual Composer specifically check for Administrator role.

Can you do the following test?

Create a test role with all the capabilities in your site(use ‘Select All’) and see whether Visual Composer works for this test role.

Can I modify Administrator permissions ?
If yes, I can use Administrator role for Editor role, and create a new “administrator” level ?

Hi Florent,

‘Administrator’ role is supposed to have all the capabilities and is not possible to edit using this plugin. I doubt whether Visual Composer is explicitly checking for ‘Administrator’ than checking against capabilities.

Is it possible for you to contact the author of Visual Composer and ask them ‘what capability need to be enabled to access Visual Composer?’.

“One question, what capability need to be enabled to access Visual Composer? I want to activate VC with “editor” role …

– Hi, edit_pages or/and edit_posts
But to activate visual composer you need manage_options”

What I must do ?

Try enabling all three capabilities for the Editor role and check whether its working.

Hi Florent,

If it still doesn’t work then the instructions they gave you is probably not correct. Is Visual Composer a theme or a plugin? Can you share the zip file with me, I’ll try to test it.
