John McBadeParticipant
Is it still possible to “return” this plugin and be re-imbursed?
Please let me know,
Thanks
John McBadeParticipantWell the image looks the same as far as the data is concerned. Give me a place to upload the image and I will provide one.
You don’t allow them here. Also, no offense, but you seem to take a long time to reply to support issues for a paid plugin. I find it frustrating and then not accepting images on a support issue seems kinda counter productive to satisfied customers.
Just saying.
John McBadeParticipantSo what is it in your list of editable abilities?
I am confused then if what you are saying is correct. I am not doubting your answer, just why then it would even appear?
🙂
John McBadeParticipantYeah, been so long I forgot I wrote you.
The list of capabilities as presented by your plugin.

John McBadeParticipantHere are some:
Formidable Pro
All In One Migration
ACFAs for the restore, without uninstall, but just your restore button, that seems to work. I’m just unclear as to what put the system into that state to need it.
Also, why Admins still don’t have ALL rights by default – even after the “restore” button action. Admins still ca not Edit comments according to the list within this plugin.
Thanks,
-John
John McBadeParticipantYou can’t alert when the process is complete like dozens of other plugins do? You statement confuses me.
I have paid for the PRO version with a valid key. I am confused. Are you saying the update may have not gone correctly? How would I correct this? Uninstall/reinstall?
“I’ll add an item to by bug list with low priority, since there is a workaround.” What workaround are you referring to?
“I don’t know about the comments issue. This plugin doesn’t attach anything to the comments functionality yet. Its probably coming from a different plugin.”
This is something I can test and get back to you on.
Thanks,
-John
John McBadeParticipantOk. Update… again.
First, the export WAS being saved, but there was nothing to show the file was downloaded. ATM I was using Safari and it doesn’t allow you to prompts as to where you want to save the file. The WPFront doesn’t give you any message that the file was downloaded successfully. Maybe that should be added to the plugin?
Secondly, I did finally get what you meant by restore. Sorry I was being “thick” this morning. I performed the rector function for Admin and all the capabilities were reset. I don’t know though how they got in that state to begin with? Do you?
Thirdly, what do admins not have the ability – even after the rector, to edit comments??
Thanks for your time on this,
-John
John McBadeParticipantYou mean the WPFront’s export?
I am working with a localhost copy of the live site this plugin is being used on, and all the suspect behaviors are occurring with media management.
With this localhost copy, I just tried it and when I try to export the file, I click the button and nothing happens.
If I disable the plugin, media management works again. Of course I can’t test export for the plugin at that point 😛
Now I looked at my non working copy for Admin and the abilities I want to use are unchecked for these.
I then created a clean install and added WPFront and the abilities are checked. I also noticed that the ability to edit comments was unchecked. All the other admin abilities are intact. Oh! I also found the ability to add users is unchecked? Why should WPFront effect any of these abilities for an admin who is supposed to have all abilities?
I never touched these abilities in either case. Again, if I disable the plugin, the abilities are re-enabled.
This is not behavior I would expect from this plugin.
I would attach images but seems this is not possible here. It sure makes it hard to communicate what is happening. I would suggest you find a way to make that possible for support issues.
What would you recommend for a next step?
Thanks,
-John
John McBadeParticipantHmmm… I think my translator messed this up and not your plugin.
I presume you are compatible with Polylang – Yes?
