    Found the problem! We had the plugin “Role Quick Changer” installed to test the various roles. Bad idea, as that plugin was what was causing yours to not work correctly. So you may have some bad interaction there. Hope that will help someone in the future!

    Yes, deactivating the plugin restores access, and reveals the shortcodes I’ve added.
