Tagged: Administrator capability restore
Can’t figure out the setting to allow the Administrator to “edit other’s posts”. Can’t select that capability.
thank you
Can anyone on the forum here help with this. By adding this plugin, I’ve lost my ability to edit other’s posts. I’m sure there’s a setting (that I haven’t found) that can open this back up. Thank you.
Hi Jeff,
Sorry for the delayed response. I was travelling and couldn’t login to the site.
For your issue, can you try doing a restore on the Administrator role?
Thanks
Syam
Hey Syam
This is a similar issue to what I had with the products. The only way I was able to solve it was to give myself the shop-manager role as well. Restoring the admin role did not fix this.
Hi Adrianne,
Sometimes plugin developers explicitly check their role name for permissions rather than a capability. In those cases, user requires membership in that particular role. Can you check with the other developer whether “Shop Manager” role is explicitly checked? If its not being explicitly checked, then ask what capability is being checked for that functionality.
Thanks
Syam
