    I need to give editors access to ‘Export Personal Data’ and ‘Erase Personal Data’ in the ‘Tools’ menu but they aren’t displaying in the permissions window.

    Is there a way of doing this?

    From which user/role are you trying to edit the menu? Does the current user has access to these items?

    Sorry, I’m not trying to edit the menu, I’m trying to edit capabilities for the editor role. The list of Tools, ‘import’ and ‘export’ are showing but not ‘Export Personal Data’ and ‘Erase Personal Data’. This is the case for all roles. Is there a way I can send you a screenshot?

    Hi Alison,

    Thank you for sharing it. Now try enabling ‘export_others_personal_data’ and ‘erase_others_personal_data’ capabilities for Editor role. You should be able to find them under ‘Other Capabilities’ section. Then login as an Editor user and see whether they appear.

    Try adding it through the ‘Add Capability’ functionality.
