Tagged: promote users role
Hi there,
I would like to give a user the abillity to promote users up to their own level. But not as admin. I’ve selected the below boxes:
[ok] list_users
[ok] create_users
[ok] edit_users
[ok] delete_users
[ok] promote_users
[ok] add_users
[ok] remove_users
In this case the user is not able to promote users. But when I also select ‘promote_users_to_higher_level’ they are also able to promote a user to ‘admin’. How to prevent this happening?
Thanks!
Hi Jaro,
‘promote_users_to_higher_level’ capability needs the correct ‘level_’ capabilities configured for it to give you the desired results. Are you dealing with WordPress standard roles or custom roles?
Thanks,
Syam
