I created a new role based on built in user “subscriber” and left the capability “publish_bp_docs” unchecked. I reckoned that this user would then not be able to create any content of type “bp_docs”. However, when this user logs in, there is still the button “create new doc” and clicking it will just allow this user to create a document.
How can I prevent certain roles from creating documents?

    Hi David,

Try removing the capability ‘edit_bp_docs’ and see if it works.

    Thanks

    Syam
