Hi Kevin,
Sounds like this issue is coming from menu editor. Is it possible for you to give me a sql dump of the table ‘wpfront_ure_menu_editor’. Please make sure that the site/table you are selecting has this issue.
I’ll try to reproduce this issue in my local site using that data. Then it will be easier to fix.
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Sehui,
You need to remove ‘read_others_attachments’ capability from the role. You don’t need to check any capabilities under ‘Posts’ for it to work.
Here is the documentation.
Thanks

I’m assuming you are seeing this message on the backend(wp-admin).
Can you answer the following questions?
1. Do you happen to see the same behavior on all the child sites?
2. Do you have ‘Admin Menu Editor’ enabled on all the child sites? Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Ted,
Editing of ‘Administrator’ role is disabled since admin is supposed to have all the capabilities.
What you are thinking is correct. The better option is to create an admin like role and assign the users to it. Use can use the ‘Migrate Users’ functionality for that.
Thanks

Syam MohanKeymasterHi Giusy,
This doesn’t come from WPFront URE. May be from some other plugin. Try with all plugins disabled.
Thanks

Syam MohanKeymasterHello,
As far as I’m aware it works with the latest version. And also no one else reported any issues so far. This functionality works based on the ‘level_’ capabilities. Can you make sure they are configured correctly? If you can share a screenshot of those capabilities, that would be great.
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Bradley,
If you deactivate other plugins does it fix the issue? It probably is a conflict.
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Khalid,
Its probably because of the query string. I’ll make a change in the next version, that will fix this.
Thanks

January 10, 2017 at 7:48 pm in reply to: Can't disable customer admin bar via login redirection #44629Syam MohanKeymasterHi Kirill,
1. Does the user has more than one role assigned?
2. Can you try with other plugins deactivated to see if its a conflict? Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Kregg,
Based on the capabilities set, that user should have the permission.
If you deactivate all plugins(including User Role Editor), does it work?
Thanks

Syam MohanKeymasterHi Peter,
“Then they mention to add a filter to WP’s capability system!
No idea how to do that. Isn’t that what your WPFRONT provides me?”Yes, WPFront URE plugin allows to do it through the UI.
Can you give me access to your site?
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Peter,
I asked for the wp-admin screenshot including the whole admin menu. The provided screenshot is for the frontend. Based on your role capabilities, user is supposed to see only the Dashboard and their profile. I wanted to verify it. If its possible, I would still like to see the complete backend screenshot for this user.
Is it possible for you to ask in the Docs plugin support, what capabilities they check to add the menus you showed in the screenshot?
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Peter,
Are you trying to remove the “Docs” menu shown within the screenshot?
Thanks

Syam MohanKeymasterHi Rob,
Sorry that I missed your earlier mail through contact form. This usually happens when you don’t input the license key, so it won’t go to the priority list and will be eventually answered as part of the free support.
1. Right now exclusion is disabled only for the Administrator role. I’ll add this as a to do list item. But this sound more of a training issue and can be avoided.
2. A default permission structure is already in my to do list item. Its not possible with the current UI, but you can edit multiple posts/pages together using bulk edit.
3. As far as I know, this is part of the WordPress default permission check and has nothing to do with my plugin. Can you re-verify your user permissions?
4/5. Sorry, not possible at this moment through UI. But I might be able to give you a code which you can add to your functions.php. Right now where does the user get redirected to?
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Peter,
I wanted to see the admin menus appearing for this user. Can you share a full screen shot, including the menus.
Sorry for the delayed response.
Thanks
Syam
