KeymasterHi Ven,
User Level Permissions works based on the ‘level_’ capabilities. Do you have them configured?
Thanks

KeymasterHi Gary,
There is no specific capability for it and the plugin doesn’t have anything like this yet.
If you are willing to write/put some PHP code on your site, the following tutorial might be helpful.

KeymasterHi Ven,
Thank you for your support and kind words.
Setting permissions against Dashboard widget is not there yet. It is still in my to do list. But it sounds like you are probably not looking for this functionality.
Are you trying to get it displayed on your Dashboard? These widgets usually work against a capability. If the currently logged in user has this capability, then it will be displayed on their Dashboard. All you need to know is the capability it is looking for and enable it for the user’s role.
If you are not sure about this capability, please contact the author of the plugin which is creating this widget and ask them what capability they are looking for.
Thanks

KeymasterHi Elisa,
If you use Extended Permissions for this functionality, you will result into 404, which is expected.
What you need is to replace/swap the content based on the roles, not hide the page. Use Content Restriction Shortcodes instead of Extended Permissions.
Thanks

February 2, 2016 at 10:19 pm in reply to: Secondary Roles Can Only See Primary Role Admin Menu Restrictions #23485Syam Mohan
KeymasterHi David,
Here is how cumulative permissions work respective to capabilities and menu editor.
Capabilities work using OR relationship. For example if a user has primary Role A and secondary Role B, that user will have capability ABC, if either Role A or Role B has capability ABC.
While menus work using AND relationship. For a menu to be enabled, user should have the capability used my the menu and that menu should be enabled for all roles(Role A and Role B) within the menu editor. You can exclude checks on secondary roles, by enabling “Disable for Secondary Role” option available in the menu editor.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks
