Hi Gerald,
That message is not coming from this plugin. It looks like a conflict from a different plugin. Can you deactivate other plugins one by one to see which plugin gives you that message?
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Txomin,
Glad to know.
Thanks
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Txomin,
Are these created by a plugin or are these WordPress default taxonomies?
Thanks

Try removing the capability ‘edit_bp_docs’ and see if it works.
Thanks

Syam MohanKeymasterHi Michael,
I don’t think you are having the same issue. Private pages is a feature in WordPress and ‘read_private_pages’ is a built-in capability.
For your issue, you just need to ‘Bulk Edit’ the extended permissions once you add a new role. This can be done is a few seconds. But the new roles will still have permissions enabled by default when you add them, this behavior can’t be changed.
Starting from v3.0 this behavior will be changed. You can set the permissions which will be inherited for new roles. There is a beta version available if you want to test it.
Thanks

Syam MohanKeymasterHi Filip,
Sorry about the issues you are facing.
If a restore doesn’t enable all the capabilities, you could also use ‘Add/Remove Cap’ functionality to enable capabilities. Don’t worry about ‘edit_comment’, it will be removed soon(next version).
If you think its too much work, I can send you a custom version.
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Andrew,
Currently there is no hierarchy based permissions except for user permissions. But you can still set this up individually against each role within extended permissions.
Thanks

Syam MohanKeymasterHello,
In WordPress standards, CPT names are ‘singular’. So that’s why the role capabilities come with ‘plural’ names.
If we were to not use the plural name for role capability, then it will create a conflict. Because under the hood, both singular and plural capabilities exists. For example if you have a CPT called ‘ABC’, then both ‘edit_abc’ and ‘edit_abcs’ exist in the system. If we were to ignore the ‘s’ because ‘ABC’ itself is plural, then it will conflict between singular and plural capabilities.
Not only that I don’t think checking for an ‘s’ at the end is always going to satisfy the condition.(Ex: address)
Thanks

May 24, 2019 at 9:58 pm in reply to: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page #85111Syam MohanKeymasterHi Scot,
This doesn’t seem like its coming from this plugin, because its not a message coded in this plugin. Can you just deactivate this plugin and see if that fixes the issue?
PS: You can email if that’s what you prefer, my address is in the message you receive.
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterWith version 3, this step is no longer required, it will be auto corrected. I’m still creating auto test cases and documentation for it, after that it will be ready for releasing.
Thanks for your support.

Syam MohanKeymasterHello,
Sorry about this issue. If you were to add these URLs to the allowed sites list, it will fix the issue. If you can send me the complete URLs, I can add these for you.
Version 3.x has a logic to automatically update these URLs, but its currently in beta.
Thanks
Syam
Syam MohanKeymasterHi Matt,
Can you give me access to your site, so that I can take a look at this issue?

Thanks for letting me know.

Syam MohanKeymasterHi Monique,
I could see the issue initially, but then I saved the menu configuration one more time and it just went away. I’m not sure what was wrong, but now it works as expected.
Thanks
Syam
